Below is Sara's Testimony taken from an application that she filled out in April of 2000 to attend a trip with the youth group of Hallmark Baptist Church to Washington D.C. and New York City. The trip was scheduled for June 26, 2000. ===============================================================================

Before I became a Christian I thought that my life was pretty good. I never did anything really bad except that I didn't believe truly in my heart that Jesus was my savior. I was always dependent on myself and not God. I believed that I could make it through life without God, but one night I realized that I was going to go to hell if I didn't trust in Him.

It was in April of 1996 at the church where I had been going all of my life that I got saved. I had a deep burden in my heart that I had never felt before and I realized that something needed to change. After that night my life did change. I began to be more dependent on God and not myself. The summer of last year I surrendered my life to the Lord and yes it has been very hard, but as time has gone by I've become less and less dependent on me and more dependent on what God wants to do with my life.

Answer: Yes

Question: In what areas would you be interested in helping and getting involved?
Answer: Drama, greeter, sharing my testimony, special music.

Question: Why do you want to go on this trip?
Answer: I feel that God really wants to do something in my life and I may be going off to college early this              fall. I really need His guidance in my life right now.

Question: What do you see is the purpose of our group going on this trip?
Answer: To reach unsaved teenagers and young people.

Question: Why should you be allowed to go on this trip?
Answer: I feel that I will be a big help and I would like to get some more experience as a leader. I am going              to be a senior and I want to be a part of the youth group.

Question: What do you expect to get from this trip?
Answer: I expect to really feel God's hand in my life. I know that something big is going to happen and I              want to be a part of it.
